Southern Arizona SIG

Hello Fellow ENA Members,

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your SIG representative. In my present role as the Clinical Educator in the ED at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson I have the opportunity to work with our staff and physicians to provide excellent care to our community.  I am following in the footsteps of Maureen (Mo) Creegan who has always devoted a lot of energy and enthusiasm for the ENA I hope that I can do half as good of a job as she has.  I share her passion for this organization as I think the ENA does an outstanding job of supporting its members and advocating for patient access to care.  I have been an ENA member for many years dating back to when I lived in Wisconsin.  Prior to moving to Arizona I was a regional Director for the northeast region of the state.

I am off to a slow start in communicating with you as I am still building my Southern SIG email list and ran into a few snags in the process.  My goal is to be able to reach out to you on a quarterly basis with information and opportunities pertinent to emergency nursing in Arizona as well as nationally. When you identify issues or opportunities that you want to bring forward, please feel free to reach out to me so that I can support your concerns.

There are so many opportunities to get involved to improve our profession, a few of the topics that I am personally interested in are: emergency/disaster preparedness; new graduate nurse residency programs; geriatric ED and high quality CPR performance to name a few. Contact Angie Westergard  (angie.westergard@gmail.com) for Southern SIG meeting information
