Trauma Nursing Core Course
Two Day Provider Course
TNCC was developed and implemented to identify a standardized body of trauma nursing knowledge. The TNCC (Provider) course is a course designed to provide the emergency nurse with essential cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills to care for the adult trauma patient.
Course Fees: 2-day provider course:
- Non ENA members $250.
- ENA member is $190, ENA number must be documented to receive discount.
Includes study material: TNCC Provider Manual 6th edition.
Re-verification course: AZ ENA has added the one-day re-verification course. You must be a current provider to qualify for this class. Lecture time is significantly abbreviated, as is the psychomotor skill preparation. Lecture, skills practice and testing is done all in one day.
Since the curriculum is a bit different since you originally acquired your provider status, you will want to be sure and read the new TNCC Provider Manual 6th edition and practice before coming to the re-verification course. The re-verification course is less expensive and you will need to bring your current provider card to class. If you prefer to attend the 2-day provider course you may, you must apply and pay for the 2-day course. If you have lapsed in verification, you will need to attend the 2-day provider course.
One-day verification course: Must have a current TNCC card and bring to class.

- A pretest will be sent to you by email. You must complete the pretest and bring it with you to class.
TNCC Provider Manual 6th edition is not included with the re-verification registration. If you would like to receive the manual please include an additional $54 for the cost of the book.
Email confirmation and study materials are sent/ mailed out approximately 4-6 weeks prior to class. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR COURSE MATERIALS 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE COURSE, PLEASE CONTACT THE AZ ENA TRAUMA CHAIR, KAREN ZITTERGRUEN. YOU ARE NOT SCHEDULED FOR THIS COURSE UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL OR LETTER AND STUDY MATERIALS.
Cancellation /reschedule Policy
Registration may be cancelled up to 30 days prior to the course date for a partial refund, less $54 for the course materials. Changing course date after application requires a $40 fee regardless of date.
